This morning Apple opened pre-orders of their new iPhone 14 lineup. Let's take a look at the new features and pricing.

iPhone 14

The standard iPhone 14 models come in two sizes 6.1" & 6.7" screen sizes. The 5.4" mini variation did not get an iPhone 14 equivalent.

The new devices include new features such as 2 years of free Emergency SOS via satellite, camera improvements, crash detection, and more. Additionally US iPhone 14 models will not include a SIM Card Tray, instead opting exclusively for eSIM technology.

Prices start at $799 for the 6.1" iPhone 14 and $899 for the 6.7" iPhone 14 Plus. Both models are available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options. Pre-orders are available now with the iPhone 14 being available on September 16th and the iPhone 14 Plus on October 7th.

iPhone 14 Pro

The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are the flagship models of the iPhone 14 lineup. Just like with the standard iPhone 14 models, screen sizes are 6.1" and 6.7" respectively.

Along with all of the iPhone 14 features mentioned above, the Pro models also include a 48MP camera (although non ProRAW photos will be scaled down to 12MP), an always on display, new A16 bionic processor, and more.

One additional iPhone 14 Pro exclusive feature is called Dynamic Island. This allows content to be seamlessly integrated into the new pill shaped cutout on the front of the device where the camera and Face ID sensors are located. This interactive area can display things such as now playing album art, sports scores, phone call duration, and more. 3rd party developers will also be able to integrate this into their own apps to allow for their apps to display content in this area.

Prices start at $999 for the 6.1" iPhone 14 Pro and $1099 for the iPhone 14 Pro Max. 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options are available. Pre-orders are available now with both models being available on September 16th.
